NDWA’s Spanish-language news platform reaches 200,000+ subscribers across all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico — housecleaners, nannies, and caregivers who depend on it for critical information about wages, immigration rights, and Medicaid benefits.
I led the full redesign and WordPress implementation of La Alianza Noticias, aligning its design with NDWA’s broader brand and rebuilding its information architecture based on user research insights. I migrated 500+ posts and pages, built multilingual functionality and custom page templates (e.g. the Resources hub in Spanish), and added popup surveys to give the content team immediate user feedback through the platform. I also developed comprehensive hand-off documentation and led a live training session with the content management team so they could independently maintain and update the platform after the engagement.
Earlier in the year, I also covered the NDWA Digital Design Manager’s three-month sabbatical, shipping 30+ pages and templates across NDWA and Care in Action: bilingual Domestic Worker Bill of Rights, Know Your Rights, and Home and Community-Based Services pages. I built the Medicaid Risk Assessment Tool in WPForms and EveryAction, which informs members of their personal exposure to federal Medicaid changes by state.
